Model based on a Revolver Smith & Wesson 327 M&P R8 5" - 357 Mag.
I finally found the time to complete and refine this modeling and texturing project. A huge thanks to Tim Bergholz for guiding me through the modeling process with his course. I have learnt a lot of valueable tips and tricks on how to approach firearm modeling thanks to him. However, I chose to take my own approach in several areas, utilizing ZBrush for the high-poly creation and adjusting the polycount of the gun to my liking, particularly for the final renders. For the texturing, I have tried to push the textures to the best of my ability. This was a great personal practice and a valuable study in deepening my understanding of PBR Texturing (Metal, Roughness).
Credits to Eugene Petrov for the first person hands in the renders.
